Gail Silver, RCYT, E-RYT, JD is the founder of Yoga Child Inc, the creator of A Peaceful Place Inside (an award winning compilation of children’s yoga music and meditations) and author of the Anh’s Anger Children’s book series. Lauded by Publisher’s weekly as “A Winning Series,” the trilogy teaches children to navigate their stronger emotions through mindfulness and meditation. Gail has taught yoga to children and adults since 1999, and is especially interested in providing students with the tools needed to integrate the practices of mindfulness and yoga into their lives, both on and off the mat. Most recently, Gail has contributed to Lions Roar magazine with How To Teach Metta To Children and has collaborated with international production company, Mindful Cloud, as screenwriter of the animated family film Planting Seeds of Mindfulness. Gail travels nationally and internationally to share her teachings and to facilitate yoga and mindfulness based educational conferences. Founded in 2001 by Gail, Yoga Child continues to thrive as on organization providing its specialized yoga and mindfulness curriculum to children in Philadelphia area public and private schools, and as an organization training teachers to teach yoga and mindfulness to children. Prior to becoming a yoga teacher, Gail was an attorney, specializing in children’s advocacy law.
